Summary

Responsible for assuring the delivery of quality nursing care for a designed school and/or group of students/parents/staff in a specified community setting. Responsible for growth and development of outreach programs in the community that will foster improved health and wellness.


Education

Must obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three years of employment or will not be eligible to continue in the role. Coursework is completed outside of work hours. Nurses with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), hired/rehired or transferred from a non-nursing position prior to 12/1/17 are grandfathered into the role and not required to obtain BSN.


Licensure/Certification

CPR instructor required; or must obtain within one year of employment. Certification in Diabetes, Asthma, Pediatrics, or School Nursing preferred (Certification may be required dependent on job assignment.). Valid IN Registered Nurse required. Must have a valid driver's license. Must provide current proof of auto insurance.

Experience

Must have 3 to 5 years of RN experience, with preferable outreach, project management or education background.


Other Qualifications

Familiarity with designated service area and surrounding communities as it relates to outreach and health initiatives.
