Control Consultants (A Kele Company), a nationwide distributor of commercial/industrial HVAC controls, burner/boiler controls and building automation systems, is in search of an experienced Commercial HVAC Account Executive who will be responsible for generating revenue from potential commercial customers and increasing wallet share of existing customers in the New England market.

The Commercial HVAC Account Executive is required to grow and retain existing accounts by planning persuasive approaches and presenting new solutions and services in order to convince customers to increase their business volume with the company. They will work with mid and senior level management, inside branch sales and technical staff, and marketing.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Actively promotes the company’s products and services utilizing approved sales principles and communicating our value propositions to customers
  • Directs, monitors, and consolidates data to jointly develop account strategies and tactics with the team and to maintain accuracy in the sales pipeline
  • Proactively conducts sales calls to identify the customer’s needs and opportunities, learn about the customer’s business, our competitor’s actions, and the BAS industry
  • Meets and maintains all minimum sales activity levels to include attainment of sales revenue/margin quotas, call activity, quote, and quote follow-up monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve all goals and total spend opportunity associated with assigned accounts
  • Works collaboratively with branch team members/vendors as necessary to maximize sales opportunities while not diverting from core sales responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains account management plan for all assigned accounts
  • Provides exceptional personal customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Listens to and manages resolution of customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the team for supporting the customer’s and the company’s shared goals

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and thorough knowledge of commercial HVAC/BAS applications, products and market, to include the solutions/services the company provides, the company’s competitors, customers, consultants, contractors, and end users
  • Undergraduate/bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Tridium certification or CEM preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel and Outlook; ability to learn and use company software
  • Proficiency in customer service skills, proactive telephone and face-to-face selling skills and the ability to interpret customer responses in order to increase business development and attain maximum wallet share
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

This position is also eligible for a commission incentive plan.
