CoWorx has an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Training opportunity in Farmington CT. This is a direct hire position, offering excellent compensation and benefits. This role requires national travel to customer sites, previous teaching experience and technical background.
The Technical Trainer will instruct and train customers and company employees as applicable on their machines for product trainings, operation, maintenance, and programming. This includes training in standardized classes in the training center in Farmington and individualized classes on customer sites.
Technical Trainer Responsibilities
- Present training classes to personnel and customers on the applicable product line(s).
- Evaluate existing training procedures and manuals and review with Training Manager. Implement improvements to meet customer demand and to achieve highest customer satisfaction.
- Interface with technical writers and curricula developers in compiling and reviewing documentation and data.
- Support the implementation of Training 4.0 strategies (i.e. webinars and virtual classrooms).
- Travel to customer locations and/or other facilities in the US and abroad for training or research needs (up to 30% travel).
- Maintain records on training schedules and personnel trained.
- Provide evaluations on Service Engineers while in training.
- Provide evaluations of own training course by students.
- Participate in projects, Continuous Improvement and SYNCHRO activity.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- An in-depth technical background is required, preferably on company machines or other CNC sheet metal machine tool products. Additionally, training and field service experience is strongly preferred.
- 2-year technical school degree in Engineering or suitable equivalent of education / work experience
- Prior Teaching Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong PC skills (OS, networking, Office).
- Comfortable Talking/Presenting in front of groups
- CAD/CAM, SolidWorks, Blueprints, Machine Layouts
- Willingness to travel 20-50% - This is based on customer need and frequency is subject to change but no more than 50% and travel is planned in advance.
