Overview:
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Cloud Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains security requirements for operation of systems
  • Maintains and improves existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc)
  • Produces detailed documentation
  • Maintains System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS, and IAM
  • Manages and Maintains AWS WorkSpaces
  • Automates and optimizes service deployments
  • Delivers a full-stack web application to production; identifying and resolving operational issues in same
  • Actively participates in technical requirements-gathering process (i.e. meetings with customers)
  • Executes design and implementation of application features, independently / unassisted, with minimal oversight
  • Writes and reads unit tests; understanding code-quality analysis concepts
  • Writes and debugs Javascript, Typescript, or closely-related language
  • Develops applications backed by a relational database; understanding RDB design concepts
Qualifications:
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Poly

Degree and Years of Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • 5+ years IT experience, preferably system administration of large enterprise networks (Windows, Linux platforms)
Required Certifications:
  • Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
Desired Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Agile/SAFe
Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services

Strong Troubleshooting skills at the Tier 1-3 level

Angular frontend framework; UI/UX design

Microservice-based backend architecture; integrating with COTS/FOSS software REST APIs

CI/CD pipeline implementation, ideally with GitLab

Strong Knowledge of Active Directory

Windows/Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS Administration experience

Desktop support

Domain/System Administrator experience

Be a team collaborator
Desired Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLI

Experience working with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, or Java)

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development

Database experience with a Postgres backend

Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl

Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, GitLab Pages, and Nexus

Knowledge of Confluence and Jira

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Analytical and problem solving skills
