Energy Land and Infrastructure (ELI) is a growing regional professional engineering and surveying firm focused on civil infrastructure serving the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest regions of the country. We are currently seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing engineering team at our Manassas, VA location. The position has an opportunity for advancement for aspiring individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers on energy and utility projects including pipelines, stations, facilities, etc. The engineer is accountable for providing technical design and plans to the project team to achieve the goals and objectives of the project. General tasks associated with this position include the following:

• Providing technical and design support for the development of projects (conceptual through final design and as-built projects)
• Gas pipeline technical design and drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Coordinating and supporting the preparation and submission of required permits to comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Supporting the development of technical designs or internal process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance
• Developing finished designs from sketches and concepts under the direction of an Engineer
• Attending site visits to meet with the project team and determine project needs
• Collaborate with project team including the project manager, design lead, and CAD designers to ensure company standards and best practices are implemented
• Client interaction and support
• Data entry and database management
• Utilizing and adhering to Quality Assurance & Quality Control requirements

*Some in-state and out of state travel required to participate in client meetings and visit project sites.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering
• AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent: 2+ years
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability and willingness to learn and accept new responsibilities as experience is gained
• Ability to communicate ideas and technical information to staff, supervisors, and clients in a professional manner
• Engineer in Training Certificate or ability to obtain
