Material Manager Overview

• Perform tasks related to purchase orders, accounting, and production scheduling
• Provide operational support to asphalt plant and quarry crews in the areas of purchasing, logistics, inventory, and scheduling
• This is an administrative position requiring a high degree of computer literacy
• Maintain and improve processes and systems used in production
• Ensure facilities meet or exceed operational, production, and budget goals
• Work will be based at the Wolfforth, Texas location

Material Manager Duties

• Prepares purchase orders for approval while monitoring monthly budgets
• Procures materials and coordinates delivery schedule with truck drivers
• Responsible for gathering and filing purchase receipts
• Manage customer relations to meet and exceed customer expectations
• Design production schedules and forecast models to meet customer demands
• Monitor and manage production and inventory based on schedules
• Procure and coordinate freight and logistics based on inventory requirements
• Ensure materials are produced according to required specifications
• Develop budgets to include capital plans and cost reduction programs
• Monitors daily costs to determine performance and address variances
• Enforce compliance with all Company safety policies and procedures

Material Manager Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (required)
• Ability to verbally communicate and provide directions to truck drivers
• Proficiency in ERP database software
• Understanding of office administration and accounting-related tasks
• Accurate and efficient data entry of accounting-related tasks
• Aptitude in MS Excel advanced functions such as pivot tables and linear regression
• Understanding of supply chain management
• Understanding of manufacturing systems, preferably roadway materials

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
