Midwest Foods is a wholesale food distributor providing top quality food products to numerous food establishments in Chicago, surrounding suburbs, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. We import fruits and vegetables from all over the world and distribute these products to local markets. We are currently hiring for a Bilingual HR Recruiter for our Chicago location.

Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm

Job Description:

• Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community centers, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, social media, etc.
• Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/media
• Attend job/career fairs
• Develop and update job descriptions
• Improve organization attractiveness by monitoring job offers and compensation practices and emphasizing benefits and perks
• Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers
• Pre-screen and interview applicants, and complete all corresponding pre-employment processes
• Conduct orientations and advise managers on training and coaching
• Verify I-9 documentation
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Other clerical functions, as assigned
• Assists HR team with special projects on an as needed basis

Qualifications:

• Must be available to work in-person, 5 days/week
• Must be Bilingual, Spanish
• Must have at least one year of interviewing experience in Manufacturing
• Must have great interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
• Associates degree minimum
