Position: Avionics Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and comply with technical data including aircraft manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service instructions and bulletins, engineering data, and other specifications.
  • Understand the operating procedures in a 145 Repair Station.
  • Ability to use measuring and test equipment in a Repair Station.
  • Perform skilled troubleshooting, repair and overhaul to aircraft components to include cleaning, testing, disassembly and assembly in accordance with OEM / FAA approved technical data.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets performance standard.
  • Prepare documentation, repair and maintenance records, and other required paperwork in a timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations and FAA procedures.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Avionics is required.
  • Two-year technical trade school, or equivalent 5+ years on-the-job training is required.
  • A valid FAA approved Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiar with aircraft specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
  • Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
