SafeTech USA is actively seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician to support the Inflatables shop for our MRO facility located in : Ridgeland, SC .

We will train all the required skills for the position, but we require an individual who is detail oriented, has a strong work ethic, works with urgency, and performs all tasks in a safe manner. The successful candidates will be responsible for repair and overhaul of Inflatable life rafts in an aviation safety and survival equipment facility. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to learn a trade skill in the aviation industry as a Aviation Maintenance Technician with growth opportunity and unlimited advancement potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to learn skills and develop technical aptitude to build a product that meets specifications and exceeds customer expectations.
  • Must be able to complete various types of maintenance documents such as Test Results and In-Process Inspections in accordance with FAA and EASA Regulations and company policies. Legible handwriting is a plus.
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician that is self-motivated.
  • Good eyesight and color vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly.
  • Must be able to lift 75-100lbs.
  • High School diploma or a general education degree (GED). Technical School training and certification is helpful.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and manuals.
  • Math skills must include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to push, pull, tug (using hands and feet), bend, kneel, stoop, etc.
  • Work hours generally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Overtime is approved to meet customer order completion when warranted.
