How you will make an impact:

The Associate Database Administrator (DBA) will add depth to the support capabilities of the IT department. Responding to support tickets for database support and maintaining database servers, including but not limited to backups, maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting are primary responsibilities. This role will assist end-users with software and hardware errors and system upgrades. The Associate DBA will aid the SQL DBA with procurement, provisioning users, system monitoring and will assist in various IT hardware/software deployments as well as test projects.

  • Monitor regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Monitor and support SQL Server databases in multiple environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
  • Assist SQL DBA in analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Perform analysis of database performance and performance tuning.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Comp TIA DataSys+ or similar, bachelor’s degree or similar experience level.
  • Minimum 2-3 years working experience in a similar position.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Familiar with RDBMS concepts, including creating, maintaining, and optimizing Tables. Views, Stored Procedures, and User Defined Functions using SQL Server
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

US BASE PAY SCALE $32.25 - $45.86/hr

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
