Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines has an excellent Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic position career opportunity located at the Grand Canyon Village Arizona. In this position you will work under direct supervision of Licensed Airframe & Powerplant Technicians.

**Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test including for marijuana (showing negative results).
***Candidates must provide some previous on-the-job training maintenance experience on aircraft from an accredited aircraft maintenance school, military experience, or training with a previous employer.
****This position requires candidates once hired as Employees to be available to work any day of the week including holidays, weekends and Sundays, and nights.

The position will require a successful completion of our Company’s apprenticeship program training and must meet all FAA regulations.
The apprentice program will require on-site attendance for classroom time and on-the-job training.
The Apprentice will work under direct supervision of Licensed Airframe & Powerplant Technicians.
Must have a High School Diploma.
Must be able to show authorization and have (eligibility) to work in the United States (We do not have an employment sponsorship program).
Must have a valid unexpired Driver’s License.
Must have effective communication skills in fluent English both verbal and written.
Must be able to lift up to 20lbs and often lifting above the head.
Must be able to fit into tight places.
Must be physically dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climb ladders, aircraft and support stands, and sustaining those positions for extended periods of time.
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (high visibility clothing, hearing protection, safety glasses) when required.
Must be able to work professional that is able to work as a team member or independently.
Must have the ability to be trained to use calibrated hand and specialized tools.
Must be able to read and understand English in order to properly use aircraft manuals.
Must possess quality decision-making capability and mental alertness to ensure safety.
Prefers experience with carbon fiber and fiberglass composite repair.
