Overview:
BAI, a Defense contractor, is seeking qualified candidates with 15 years of experience to serve as an Application Developer for a U.S. Navy program to work onsite at Point Mugu Naval Air Station in Camarillo, CA.
The incumbent Application Developer (Senior Software and System Engineer) will be involved in every aspect of the AEA UPC product development and process implementation from discovery to delivery. The incumbent will work closely with the IPT Management team, Product Leads, Software developers, test team members, system engineers, and technical writers.

Salary
The typical annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 USD to $135,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for the AEA UPC Mission Planning product suite, reporting directly to the AEA UPC Product Lead, IPT Lead, Chief Engineer and Process lead. The candidate will review requirements (capabilities, features, user stories), process compliance and recommend changes as necessary to the AEA UPC Suite.
  • Provide the AEA IPT support in developing automatic testing process and then apply that to AEA UPC development.
  • Develop Power BI MP UPC using the AEA IPT template.
  • Propose high-level system design to meet requirements, Develop Software to meet requirements Specification. Work directly with all stakeholders, designers, and engineers to develop and deliver quality products. Analyze, develop, and document system and software requirements. Act as a subject matter expert to a AEA IPT cross-functional team on sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and maintaining prioritized product backlog.
  • Provide the AEA IPT Management team with the status of the AEA UPC product and process status. Attend the AEA UPC Senior Management Review.
  • Provides technical support in Development Security and Operations (DevSecOps) process and will provide insight into Develops best practices.
  • Provide Technical support in Agile Software development and process within the Scaled Agile Framework and is an expert in the software development life cycle best practices. Train the team AEA UPC in Agile Processes management.
  • Develop and maintain the AEA UPC team process to compliance with the AEA IPT process and CMMI process model.
  • Improve the Member Management to integrate AEA UPC member data for Lab, Data access, Member portfolio and facilities. Maintain and develop SharePoint sites and list structured databases. Design and develop cutting edge business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Platform. Conduct data analysis and develop AEA UPC dashboards and metrics using Power BI.

Qualifications:
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 15 years' experience
  • Experience in process development with minimum 10 years with CMMI model
  • Strong practical knowledge of agile methodologies, product development, information architecture
  • Experience in DoD software development
  • Experience with avionics systems and components
  • Experienced in JIRA or other agile product management tools
  • Experience working closely in cross-disciplinary teams, IPT Leadership, Systems Engineers, Task Team Leads and Developers
  • Experience with TEAMS Office 365 Product development
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Platform


Clearance:

Condition of employment - must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Citizenship:
