Job Description

Experienced and Entry Level Airframe and Powerplant Technician with some knowledge on one of the following:
-CF6 engines
-CFM56-3, 5 and 7 engines
-CF34 engines
-PW4000 engines
-V2500
-AE3007

Technical personnel (Technicians) report to the area Maintenance Supervisor and have the authority and responsibility for performing maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed and assigned in accordance with the applicable maintenance data and this manual.
The qualifications for this position are the knowledge, experience and/or training required to perform the assigned task.
This position does not be assigned management, supervisory or inspection duties and does not have authorization to sign a maintenance release for approving a maintained or altered article for return to service. Therefore, this position is not required to be certificated under 14 CFR part 65 or be listed on the repair station roster.

Position Summary: has the authority and responsibility for performing maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed and assigned in accordance with the applicable maintenance data and the repair station manual.

The qualifications for this position are the knowledge, experience and/or training required to perform the assigned task.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Carry out the assigned tasks, in accordance with the applicable technical approved data and this manual.
  • Ensure maintenance operations are performed in the appropriate sequence, that inspections are requested in an orderly and timely manner and that maintenance activities are performed according to the appropriate maintenance data and customer requirements.
  • Ensure that all test equipment or tools used to make airworthiness determinations are labeled in accordance with this manual before use.
  • Request stock as required for the work being performed.
  • Complete the appropriate paperwork.

Education and skills:

  • Must have experience with the at least one of the following engines: CFM56 Series Engine product line, CF34-3 Engine Product Line, PW4000 Engine product line, CF6-80 Engine Product Line.
  • Must have citizenship.
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must have experience and or training on repair station procedures,
  • Airframe and Powerplant license (must)
  • Commercial Aircraft engine experience
  • Must have a strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product
  • Attention to details is imperative
  • Must be efficient with desire to succeed
  • Must have the proper tooling to perform work assigned
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials and urinary pre-employment test drugs as per the DOT regulations
  • Must be willing to travel extensively for prolonged periods of time
