Kingfisher Air Services is a contract cargo carrier for DHL throughout the Caribbean Islands and South America for more than 30 years. We operate 6 Cessna Caravan 208B aircrafts from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Trinidad & Tobago. Flights normally operates Monday - Friday departing and returning to base every day.

Description

An Aircraft Maintenance Technician inspects, services and repairs airplanes to ensure they’re operating correctly and safely. A technician is responsible for ensuring that airplanes get regular maintenance and that any problems are fixed correctly. Technicians may work on different parts of an aircraft, such as the engine, landing gear, breaks and pumps.

Technicians may work with special instruments designed specifically for aircraft maintenance. The job may also involve standing on ladders and working at various heights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The job duties of an Aircraft Maintenance Technician may vary from preventive maintenance to repairs. The technician must know and follow all regulations set by the FAA.

  • Read and interpret airframe and engine manuals
  • Perform aircraft maintenance both inside and outside of hanger environment
  • Ensure that all aircraft maintenance work, materials and practices conform to FAA, company and manufacturer’s stands of quality
  • Comply with FARs, operations specifications, company policies and procedures
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with KAFS procedures, rules and regulations
  • Maintain enter-and interdepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperativeness
  • Ensure the proper use of all equipment and full compliance and understanding of all safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and wiring diagrams
  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner
  • Perform all other duties assigned by management

Requirements:

Aircraft Maintenance Technician needs strong mechanical abilities and skills. It is required to solve mechanical problems quickly and must have the physical ability to move about when working on airplanes. An aptitude for working with complex equipment and understand technology is also necessary.

· Be 18 years old or older

· Must have current FAA A&P certificate

· Must have signed a working aircraft within the last 24 months

· English proficiency: able to read, write, speak and understand the English language

· Valid US Passport and availability to travel freely to and from all the countries served by our company

· Willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends and day off if necessary
