General Aviation Aircraft Maintenance Technician position at Exec 1 Aviation in Ankeny Iowa at the Ankeny Regional Airport. Responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections in a timely manner to Exec 1, FAA and customer approved maintenance requirements. Applicants must currently hold an A&P license and have a thorough working knowledge of all current FAA Regulations with the ability to deliver quality work in a safe, clean and efficient manner. Typical daily duties include oil changes, 100 Hour Inspections, removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts, Phase Inspections, and other miscellaneous shop duties.
SKILLS
Ability to read, use and understand various digital maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs etc (ATP, 1View).
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and customers while working as a team or individually.
Ability to logically understand and analyze technical/inspection issues and resolve them.
Ability to operate and occasionally maintain ground support equipment such as scissor lifts, tractors, tugs, plows, forklifts, etc
Available to work overtime, or weekends infrequently when required to meet delivery deadlines
Ability to concisely, effectively and efficiently maintain and produce required documentation to meet FAA regulations and Exec 1 procedures both written and typed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Airframe and Powerplant license (A&P)
- Driver’ s License
- Pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing
- Provide own basic tools
