JOB OVERVIEW

Welcome to Wasatch Meats and thank you for considering a career change with us! We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join our sales team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers and driving sales in our 83-year-old family-owned company. Our sales team consists of sales executives, former chefs, foodies, restaurant managers, culinarians, and meat cutters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Territory Manager: Maintain strong rapport with existing customers. Acquire new customers by networking and cold calling restaurants, hotels, and resorts within the assigned geographic area.

Sales Consultant: Provide a consultative sales approach to customers rather than take their order.

Executive Communication: Comfortably interact and build relationships with executives in the foodservice industry that include business owners and key decision makers.

Product Expertise: Become an invaluable asset to customers by becoming a meat guru in all things protein, including beef, pork, chicken, lamb, veal, and wild game.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior Foodservice, sales, and/ or restaurant work experience is strongly preferred.
• Must have a solid work ethic to thrive in a family business environment of 65+ co-workers.
• Must be self-disciplined, motivated, and able to excel without constant supervision.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven success in sales, account management, or business development.
• Excellent communication and people skills. Be adaptable and coachable.
• Ability to problem solve, handle objections effectively, and close deals.
• Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

SCHEDULE

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

COMPENSATION

• Starting salary $60,000 - $100,000+ depending on experience and qualifications
• Company vehicle
• Quarterly bonus
