Role : SQL Server DBA

Client: Large Retail Client located

Position: Hybrid – 2 days On-site in Ann Arbor, MI

· Bachelors in computer science or related field with 5 years of SQL DBA experience

· Strong experience in SQL Server administration

· Experience in analysis, capacity planning, designing, and configuration of SQL database system.

· Set up & manage SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups (AAG) and Distributed AAG (DAAG) method.

· Strong experience in performance tuning

· Set up monitoring and alerting of SQL databases.

· Build and automate database maintenance jobs (Ex: backups, index maintenance, update stats, check db…)

· Good to have some level of exposure to any one of these no-sql platforms – Couchbase, Cosmos DB, Mongo DB

· Good to have some level of exposure to architecting / building containerized database solutions.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• monitoring and alerting of SQL databases: 5 years (Preferred)
• no-sql platforms – Couchbase, Cosmos DB, Mongo DB: 3 years (Preferred)
• exposure to architect containerized database solutions.: 4 years (Preferred)
• SQL Server DBA: 5 years (Preferred)
• Strong experience in SQL Server administration: 5 years (Preferred)
• SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups (AAG): 3 years (Preferred)
• Distributed AAG (DAAG): 3 years (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:
