Description: Wilder Systems is seeking a recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with the desire to work in Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle/System (UAV/UAS) Development. The successful applicant will utilize skills in both C and C++ and understanding of aircraft characteristics to develop System Diagrams, procure equipment, write software, and test integration of autonomous aircraft subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Author code on a wide range of levels abstraction from assembly-like robot code to object oriented C++ and Python
- Design unit test schemas to ensure software meets stringent industrial software standards and requirements
- Exemplify best practices for development, review, testing, and deployment that will ensure high-quality releases to production.
- Test System in a Lab environment
- Support Flight Test activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Extracurricular experience developing software from conception to productization
- Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in C/C++ and Python
- Experience with Git and Git workflows and maintaining a well-documented codebase.
- Experience developing with open-source software in a Linux environment
- Ability to provide proof of US citizenship or legal permanent resident
Preferred Experience
- Experience with backend development and database design
- Experience with AWS, or other cloud computing environments
- Experience with Containers: Kubernetes, Docker, Containerd, etc.
- Experience designing software to meet DFARS cybersecurity standards
- Experience with robotics and the ROS/ROS2 environment
- Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch)
- Flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to changes in project scope
- Experience working with embedded devices and/or closely with hardware teams.
- Experience working with modern production software CI/CD systems, and basic Dev-ops knowledge
- NVIDIA CUDA experience.
- MaIOT, low-level messaging protocols, OPC-UA, MQTT
